What is a Shield Archetype?

You have heard me speak of the Shield Archetype from time to time if you have been a regular reader of this blog.

The Shield Archetype is developed as a way to protect one thru childhood. All of us have a Shield Archetype; some people’s are more front and center than other people’s.

It is often a pattern of characteristic behavior that is not represented as a capacity in one’s face.

For instance, my Shield Archetype is Scholar. Scholar seeks THE TRUTH without hype or drama. I became a bookworm in elementary school. It was a way I could escape a contentious home environment. I was rarely asked to do chores when I was reading. I got lots of kudos or being a good student. I was seeking THE TRUTH, even though I didn’t have the natural capacity, I learned how to do Scholar

There is no problem at all in developing by learning skills and talents that aren’t part of our natural Archetypes.

Carrie Underwood walked away with the lion’s share of the CMT awards last night, June 7th. She has an amazing voice, but what does her face say?

Liam Hemsworth engagement to Miley Cyrus was announced today. I did a blog entry on Miley Cyrus just last week. Are they a good match? What does his face say?

Liam was born 1990 in Australia. He has pursued an acting career since high school. He landed the role of love interest to Miley Cyrus’ character in the movie “Last Song” written by Nicholas Sparks. That is where they began their two and a half year relationship up until the present. Liam is in the new movie “The Hunger Game,” and has been cast in another film, “Paranoia” with Gary Oldmam and Harrison Ford to start filming this summer.

A little background: born 1986 and raised in London, England. He played in local theaters until he was spied by a talent scout. He began looking for professional roles after that. He is an accomplished musician which he says is Plan B if acting doesn’t work out. He has been named Sexiest Man Alive in 2008 and 2009 by People magazine. Yesterday he and Kristen Stewart won Best Kiss in the MTV Movie Awards 2011. He has been cited as the most bankable actor in Hollywood.

Robert Pattinson’s Primary Archetype is Warrior; observable in his strong chin and eyebrow ridges. Warrior is very body conscious and aware of its movement and energy. You can see this in the Twilight movies in how he moves. Warrior is an extremely Masculine energy. He is known for building a Real Estate empire in NYC; riding the building boom up and then down and seemingly stabilized at a net worth of 2 billion. Miley Cyrus is young, talented and accused of being risqué. But, what does her face say?

A little background….born in 1992 as Destiny Hope Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus (country singer in the 90′s). She changed her name to Miley due to her childhood nickname which referred to her constant smiling. She beat out 1000 other contenders to get the lead in Hannah Montana, a Disney Teen series about a young teen super star who had a double life as a normal teenager. She is super close and loyal to her family who have supported her rise to stardom.

Her Primary Archetype is Priest; observable in her focused eyes. This is more obvious in older pictures of Miley, where her eyes are focused and sparkle. Priest is about emotional connection. As a public figure a Priest will give their best until they have to emotionally save some for themselves. A Priest does not have a lot of physical stamina…even though this is the sexiest archetype of them all. The risqué charge is due to her Priest sex appeal. Priest is energized in their Root Chakra naturally. She could wear a space suit and the attention would still be “down there.”

God -Face Reading the Eye of God?

This NASA picture from the Hubble Telescope of the Helix Nebula has been named the “Eye of God.”. I guess God has Blue Eyes!

First of all, this is not The Eye of God..who is not a person, in my belief. However, I thought it might be fun to do a metaphoric face reading of “GOD”. Lets go.

A few facts: no one really knows who or what God is. God has been reported as saying, “I am.”. It is generally thought (except those that need proof, or those honest enough to say they don’t know) that God created everything. Beyond that we attribute all that is good to God and the rest we blame on someone or something else.

The Eye of God is said to be seen in the eyes of your child, the eyes of your lover, and the eyes of those who love you for no reason. Love is the essence.

God does not have an Archetype; though some do try to tame God by defining the rules of engagement. In history and in formal religion God as been referred to as a person-He. The Archetype ascribed to God most often is King; observable in religious literature. King is far seeing and intuitively knows what is what and what needs to happen. King has a powerful physical presence that reaches 500 feet or more when just hanging out. In full regalia, King’s physical presence pervades all that they consider their domain. Continue reading →
